Lewa Wilderness is one of Kenya’s oldest and most private safari ventures. The Craig family has passed down from one generation to the next a distinct passion for wildlife, conservation and tourism, and they proudly continue to run Lewa Wilderness lodge and Walking Wild camel safaris.

The lodge is just nine exclusive rooms: six cottages tucked into the hillside overlooking Lewa’s Eastern Marania Valley, plus three garden cottages set amidst the beautiful green lawns. East Africa’s First Electric Safari Car lands at Lewa Wilderness.
The best way to view the Big Five is…quietly. Lewa Wilderness lodge in Kenya has taken that to the next level by bringing East Africa’s first electric-powered safari car to the savannah grasslands in the shadow of Mount Kenya. Rare black rhino looked on with little more than curiosity as the silent safari vehicle crept up on them. A pride of lions barely blinked as the tourist cameras clicked above the gentle hum of the engine.
Lewa Wilderness were thrilled to host Anthony Bourdain and W. Kamau Bell, the host of CNN’s “United Shades of America” in March this year whilst filming for the new CNN series 'Parts Unknown'. After the recent and sudden death of Anthony Bourdain, CNN have announced they will be hosting a World Premiere of the Lewa episode at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC on 22nd September 2018.
