At least twice a year, activities and events are organized to help particularly underprivileged children in needs and the adversely affected inhabitants through the ‘Lucky Shell’.Since 2016 we are a member of ‘The Code’ supporting child Protection against all sorts of exploitationincluding commercialand sexualexploitationin traveland TourismIndustry.

Our environmental responsibility

We work towards a precise vision of equitable, community and sustainable tourism. Our catamaran is solar-electric powered which protects the lagoon and the marine reserves.It has no emissions and no noise.We do not support ‘Dolswim’ activity on the island. We believe that it is the most relevant andeffective long term solution to maintaining the beauty and health of our marine animals.

We signed in 2019 the Blood Lions Campaign and supports the end to the breeding, canned hunting and commercial exploitation of wild animal species.

8 positive cases detected in Mauritius.Passengers banned from entering Mauritius from 06 March until 15 March 2021 , except those coming from our sister island, Rodrigues. Passengers can still leave Mauritius. Flights are planned for this purpose. However, no flight to Rodrigues.

MV Wakashio Updates Mauritius

August 15, 2020 - As forecasted the Wakashio broke into two today. The rear section of the bulk carrier, still containing a relatively small amount of hydrocarbon, is immobilized on the reef. 40 cubic metres of fluid were pumped today with the remaining 50 cubic metres expected to be pumped out by tomorrow.

Mauritius Communiquer - WAKASHIO OIL SPILL

August 10, 2020 - Early this evening, Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth, who chairs the crisis committee, confirmed that there has been no further spillage of hydrocarbon since yesterday. Weather conditions started to improve this morning and is forecasted to remain stable. This made it possible to resume the pumping of oil out of the tanks of the Wakashio. Removal of hydrocarbon by helicopters continued since yesterday.

Reducing Plastic Pollution We, at Coquille Bonheur pledged to ban single-use plastics as part of our endeavour to significantly reduce our waste footprint and environmental impact, to clean up the environment and to leave our kids with a healthier future. Plastic pollution is definitely a global challenge for us. Last year we succeeded to ban all plastic products from our office at 33, Apollo Street in Roches Brunes. Our office bound staff who signed the pledged, totally cooperated and helped us with the project.
