The Team
Our consultants are all local with a detailed understanding of their destination. This level of detail is achieved by all consultants have to spend a minimum of 2 weeks each year experiencing the destination. A number of senior consultants are trained across the whole region.
Akorn
We have created a separate brand called Akorn only for UK, US and Australian based Tour Operators. This allows them to use the A&K ground services without the A&K branding. All Akorn TO clients can white label their services so we just become an extension of your operation.

Relationships & Preferred Suppliers
Due to our long standing operations, we are on first name terms with the with property owners, GMs and CEOs across the region. They will take our calls, even after midnight!! A&K only sells properties experienced first hand by senior members of the executive team or our qualified product team.
A Real Difference
A&K have been involved in philanthropy since the early 1980’s, making a real difference in the lives of people far less fortunate than us. 34 sustainable projects in 18 countries around the world. We started our philanthropy division to help people, not because we thought it would help us sell more safaris! All our projects can be included in an itinerary for clients, letting them get involved in helping change peoples lives—permanently. We are providing fresh drinking water to schools in rural areas, healthcare to those who need it most, education to children, employment and job skills to women. All of A&K Philanthropy projects are funded by the Destination Management Company’s and our Tour Operating Company’s worldwide meaning all clients donations go 100% to the project they were designed for.

Access and Education
You have access to the senior management and sales teams to help you sell our beautiful part of the world to your clients. Vehicles
In Southern Africa all our transfers are in private, luxury vehicles with free Wi-Fi. All drivers are well trained, courteous and experienced. In East Africa we own our own fleet of land cruisers, maintained in our custom built workshops with our own teams - we don’t trust anyone else with your clients. All land cruisers have fridges, charging points and free Wi-Fi. We have also added a driver microphone and speakers throughout the vehicle allowing all passengers to hear the narrative - our vehicles are the only ones to feature this in East Africa.
Corporate Indemnity & Health & Safety
This is not a sexy part of the business but so important. A&K offers the financial stability and insurance cover that is completely unmatched by any other DMC. Our stringent Health & Safety audit allows only properties and experiences that meet international standards are offered.
