Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) announced plans to open the Kitirua Plains Lodge in Kenya's Amboseli National Park in late 2025. The news was revealed by Kate Thompson, senior vice president of marketing strategy, at the ILTM Cannes trade show.

The lodge, situated near Mount Kilimanjaro, will feature 16 suites and villas. This development is part of A&K's ongoing investment in its lodges, camps, and boats, which now operate under the A&K Sanctuary brand.

Thompson also provided updates on other projects, confirming that the rebuilt Gorilla Forest Lodge in Uganda is on schedule to reopen in May 2025. The reconstruction of Baines' Lodge in Botswana is also progressing, with a planned reopening in mid-2025.

Further expanding its portfolio, A&K will debut its first Amazon river boat in Peru next summer, marking the company's entry into the South American river cruise market.
