Bordering the Udzungwa Mountains National Park, Udzungwa Forest Camp (Hondo Hondo) offers something different than the traditional safari. This park has many different hiking routes. Guests can go hiking within the park (no vehicles allowed). The park is one of the lesser-known parks in Tanzania, even though the Udzungwa Mountains are among the most biodiversity hotspots in the world, with many endmic plants, birds and primates – Udzungwa Red Colobus and Sanje Mangabey (The Red Colobus are often seen at the camp in front of the bar). One of the highlights of this park is a hike to the spectacular Sanje Waterfalls - the highest being 170m. The falling water from the falls accumulate in naturally formed pools in which guests can enjoy a refreshing swim. Another highlight for guests is to trek up into the mountains to see the habituated Mangabey.
