Plunge pools

As from 1st June 2019 all the guest bandas at Beho Beho will have plunge pools and their own sun-bathing deck.

For many years we have listened to the same complaint from our guests that they don’t get enough time to spend enjoying their banda. Early morning game drives and walks, afternoon activities, sundowners in the bush then a quick shower before drinks and dinner etc. In fact, the only time to enjoy their banda, during daylight hours, is in the quiet time between 1pm and 4pm, but that is also a good time to visit the pool and relax in the African sun (or shade). Now we have brought the ‘pool experience’ to each banda.

We are always trying to find ways to ‘evolve’ and not become complacent with what has been created at Beho Beho. Guests are unfailingly complimentary about the camp and its ‘house party vibe’ that we have tended to operate on the principle of ‘if it ain’t broke why fix it’. But expectations change and whilst we appreciate that the main driving factor to choose to stay at Beho Beho is the superb ‘safari experience’ to be found in our sector of the Selous Game Reserve, we have always felt that the ‘après-safari’ experience should be a complementary and enhancing component.

Our spacious bandas have become even more spacious now that we have added another 30 sqm of sun terrace and plunge pool which flows seamlessly off the main bedroom area. With sufficient space for sun beds and comfortable seating the ‘new improved’ banda becomes not only a place for afternoon relaxation and a cooling dip but also gives an opportunity to compete with our resident hippos for a moonlight wallow.
