Acacia Africa’s latest East Africa tours will be a welcome addition for agents hoping to satisfy the growing demand for experiential travel and budget safaris.

The specialist is launching a nine-day Troop to the Gorillas overland journey, the camping and accommodated itineraries focused solely on Uganda, and a new Short Safari & Trek, the 10-day Best of East Africa covering handpicked game-viewing locations in Kenya and Tanzania.

Alongside the opportunity to trek the endangered mountain gorillas, the new nine-day tour affords clients three days in Jinja, giving them the chance to partake in the many activities that East Africa's adventure capital has to offer. This year, Acacia expect Uganda to take the lion share of bookings from "price-sensitive" millennials due to the gorilla permit increase in Rwanda, these travellers seeking out unique wildlife encounters, but value playing a key part in their choice of destination.

Acacia’s Short Safari & Trek portfolio is open age and aimed at a broader market including families, the tours filling the gap for mid-market safaris. The new 10-day Best of East Africa visits the Masai Mara Game Reserve, Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and the Tarangire National Park.

Earlier this year, Acacia Africa launched a three-day Nairobi Park Stay, the itinerary including a game drive in Nairobi National Park, Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage visit, return airport transfers, all food and drink and twin share ensuite accommodation at a tented camp (inside Nairobi National Park).

Year-round departures available.
