South Africa: Luxury hospitality group Morukuru Family leads the way in sustainable travel experiences with their 3rd Annual Beach Clean-up event at De Hoop Nature Reserve, held 17-19 May

We are thrilled to announce that Morukuru Family Madikwe will once again be a part of the esteemed Relais & Châteaux collection, from July 2023.

In celebration of World Sea Turtle Day on 16 June, the Two Oceans Aquarium Foundation’s Turtle Conservation Centre, with the support of Morukuru Family De Hoop and Morukuru Goodwill Foundation, are excited to announce the selection of De Hoop Marine Protected Area (MPA) of the De Hoop Nature Reserve as the latest release site for rehabilitated turtles.

Morukuru Family quite simply holds one promise: A place where you can do whatever you want, whenever you want.

In 2014, Morukuru Family acquired AtholPlace Boutique Hotel in the upmarket suburb of Sandton in Johannesburg. The stylish boutique hotel was renovated and a new 4-bedroom villa was added, before re-opening in 2015 as AtholPlace Hotel & Villa. Over the years we welcomed many happy guests, including some Royals even.

As we welcome a new year and look ahead to a new decade, we can share some exciting news with you all. Morukuru Family Madikwe is getting a whole new look!  Anyone who has undertaken building and interior work understands how challenging such projects are, but ultimately all the blood, sweat and tears will reveal a fresh new look and feel for Morukuru Family Madikwe - without losing any of the intrinsic values we are already so proud of.

Morukuru family join wildlife lovers around the world to mark World Rhino Day (22nd September) by launching their very first ‘Safari with a Purpose’ programme in Madikwe Game Reserve, South Africa. Morukuru Family welcomes you to ‘Safari with Purpose’, a uniquely crafted safari experience like no other.
