Zambia’s Tourism Ministry unveils integrity policies

Zambia’s Ministry of Tourism has launched new integrity policies – covering conflicts of interest, whistleblowing, and gifts and benefits – to strengthen transparency, accountability and ethical conduct across the institution. Announced today by Tourism Minister Hon. Rodney Sikumba, the measures aim to curb corruption and reinforce public trust in the management of national resources, with the Ministry stressing that integrity is essential to effective service delivery. 

Delivering a message from the Permanent Secretary, Director of Human Resources Mrs Vivian Ndhlovu reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to good governance, while Anti‑Corruption Commission Director General Ms Daphne Chabu praised the proactive alignment with national anti‑corruption strategies. The Ministry also launched a digital newsletter to improve communication, promote tourism products and cultural heritage, and deepen stakeholder engagement – a move expected to support investor confidence and sector growth.
