Zambia and Seychelles strengthen tourism ties

Zambia and Seychelles have agreed to strengthen cooperation in tourism and culture following a high‑level meeting between Zambia’s Tourism Minister, Rodney M. Sikumba, and Seychelles’ Minister of Tourism and Culture, Amanda Bernstein. The ministers said the partnership will prioritise sustainable tourism and closer coordination to boost regional competitiveness and amplify Africa’s voice on the global stage.

Sikumba and Bernstein highlighted capacity building, policy alignment and skills exchanges as key areas of collaboration, noting ongoing ties that include the recruitment of Zambian professionals in Seychelles. Both sides aligned the initiative with the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and UN Tourism objectives, signalling a joint push for inclusive and resilient sector growth.
