The study – the first of an annual survey on accessible adventure travel – compares the holiday habits and experiences of people with, and without, health and accessibility needs. It reveals high demand for more accessible cultural, active and nature-based holidays, but a substantial ‘confidence gap’ in travel between people with and without access or health needs – with clear accessibility information the most ‘essential’ factor to boosting traveller confidence.
