Tum Tum Treehouse Lodge has opened this month in Zimbabwe’s Hwange National Park and its already exceeding expectations! Imvelo’s newest safari experience is delivering remarkable, up-close wildlife encounters, and here, wildlife doesn’t just surround you—it moves beneath you. Look at some brand-new imagery which truly depicts the wildlife experience from the treetops.

Guest feedback is reflecting this special lodge: “There is something deeply spiritual about Tum Tum. Experiencing the daily wanderings of elephant from a private, elevated deck is unlike anything I’ve encountered before,”

“Having a morning coffee out on my deck, watching the bush come to life among the branches, was the highlight of my stay,” added another.

The latest addition to the Imvelo Safari Lodges’ portfolio, Tum Tum continues the brand’s legacy of blending adventure, community, and conservation in one seamless experience.

Set among teak and camelthorn woodlands in south-eastern Hwange, the lodge offers an immersive stay in nature. Four elevated treetop tents—positioned 12 to 16 feet above the ground—are complemented by a spacious family tent accommodating up to six guests. Crafted from natural wood and canvas, with expansive glass sliding doors, each suite offers uninterrupted views of the surrounding wilderness.

The elevated design delivers both privacy and perspective, placing guests at the heart of the ecosystem while offering a sense of calm and seclusion. Elephants and other animals pass quietly below the rooms, creating an intimate and unforgettable connection with nature. The wildlife is drawn to the camelthorn pods from the camelthorn trees that anchor the elevated treehouse structures.

Tum Tum represents a bold new chapter for Imvelo and a fresh way to experience Hwange’s rich biodiversity—one that encourages guests to slow down and fully embrace the rhythm of the wild.

Ideal as the final stop on a Hwange itinerary, Tum Tum offers a perfect balance of activity and relaxation: mornings filled with walking safaris, game drives, or rhino tracking, followed by unhurried afternoons by the pool or on a private deck as wildlife passes by. Increasingly, travellers are choosing to extend their stay in Hwange, drawn by its tranquillity, wide open spaces, and deeply immersive safari experience.
