Vestige Collection to Open First Namibia Lodge in Khaudum National Park in March 2027
Vestige Collection will open Vestige Xaudum in Khaudum National Park, northern Namibia, on 15 March 2027, marking the brand's first property outside Spain. The six-suite lodge, situated on a Kalahari sand dune overlooking an ancient fossil riverbed, will be the only lodge within Khaudum National Park - a remote 3,800 km² reserve that receives fewer than 3,000 visitors annually. The park forms part of the Kavango - Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA) and supports migratory elephant herds, endangered African wild dogs, lion, leopard, cheetah, roan antelope and more than 300 bird species. Reservations are now open.
Vestige Xaudum is the first of four lodges planned for a Vestige Namibia circuit, with Vestige Sorris Sorris, Vestige Omatendeka and Vestige Sheya Shuushona to follow. The lodge has been designed by Vestige's in-house studio using local materials and craftsmanship, with thatch sourced from surrounding villages. Most staff have been recruited from the neighbouring Muduva Nyangana and George Mukoya Conservancies and will complete three months of residential hospitality training before opening. The property will operate on solar energy with battery storage and managed borehole water. The culinary offering will draw on Namibian produce, with fire-based cooking central to the dining experience. Safari activities will be guided by daily wildlife movements rather than fixed itineraries, with private game drives, guided walks and stargazing available.
