Uganda e-Visa Portal Fully Operational After 10-Day Downtime

We are pleased to inform you that the Uganda e-Visa portal is now back online and fully operational as of 14th October. The Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control under the Ministry of Internal Affairs has successfully completed a system upgrade, ensuring a smoother and more efficient experience for all applicants.

Key Updates:
  • The e-Visa system was temporarily offline for 10 days as authorities carried out a critical system upgrade. The platform is now fully restored, and all services, including visa applications, work permits, and residence certificates, are available online.
  • The upgrade enhances the user experience, allowing applicants to submit, track, and pay for their applications digitally, without needing to visit an embassy or immigration office.

Uganda Immigration authorities have expressed their appreciation for the public’s patience during the downtime and are now focused on delivering seamless and professional services through the enhanced system.

To access the e-Visa portal, visit visas.immigration.go.ug.

Please note:
The cost of an ordinary e-Visa remains US$50. Applicants can conveniently apply for various visa categories, including tourist, business, work permits, and residence certificates.

We encourage all members and travelers to take advantage of the improved platform for a more streamlined visa application process.
