TBCSA hosts tourism conference at Sun City
The Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA) is set to hold its 3rd Tourism Leadership Conference from 18-20 September 2024 at Sun City Resort. Under the theme "Why Tourism Matters", the event aims to highlight tourism's crucial role in South Africa's economy.
As the nation targets 15.6 million arrivals by 2030, the conference will facilitate discussions on key issues including visa policies, tourism safety, public-private partnerships, and marketing strategies.
Industry leaders from various sectors will converge to explore innovative ideas. Notable speakers include Glenton de Kock of SAACI, Otto de Vries of ASATA, and Graham Wood of Sun International.
A highlight will be the presentation of the Trevor Noah Tourism Campaign, spearheaded by TBCSA to boost South Africa's global tourism profile.
The conference will also address unemployment through tourism and feature a conversation with the Minister of Home Affairs on visa waivers and e-visa implementation.
This gathering is poised to be a platform for robust dialogue and action plans, ensuring tourism remains a driving force for economic growth and job creation in post-pandemic South Africa.
