TAAG Angola Airlines Expands Regional Routes Across Southern and Central Africa

TAAG Angola Airlines has announced an increase in flight frequencies across key regional routes to meet rising demand and improve connectivity within Southern and Central Africa. From 4 June, the carrier will operate five weekly flights to Maputo (Mozambique), up from four, and increase services to Cape Town from nine to ten weekly flights, including twice-daily operations on select days. Flights to Johannesburg will rise from seven to nine per week, while Brazzaville (Republic of Congo) will now be served three times weekly.
The airline stated the move is part of its network optimisation strategy aimed at boosting both business and leisure travel across the region. TAAG highlighted benefits to local tourism, trade, and cultural exchange as key drivers for the expansion, reinforcing Angola’s position as a strategic aviation hub for intra-African connectivity.
