South African Tourism engages 235+ trade partners in Bengaluru
South African Tourism has concluded the Bengaluru leg of its Annual India Roadshow, following OTM Mumbai, engaging more than 235 Indian travel trade agents and over 40 exhibitors. Led by Mitalee Karmarkar, Marketing and Communications Manager (MEISEA), the roadshow focused on dialogue with the trade, evolving traveller trends and opportunities across leisure, corporate and MICE segments, underscoring India’s importance as a source market. The multi‑city programme moves to Ahmedabad today.
Karmarkar noted growing interest from India in family, experiential and premium travel, increased use of AI tools for trip planning, and a willingness to explore beyond traditional favourites. South African Tourism is targeting a return to pre‑pandemic Indian visitor volumes in 2026, with Bengaluru flagged as a high‑potential market for premium leisure, adventure and wildlife – and South Africa’s role as a 2027 ODI World Cup host expected to further boost destination visibility.
