South Africa to Host Tourism Investment Summit on 1 October
South Africa's Tourism Infrastructure Investment Summit (SATIS) 2026 takes place in Johannesburg on 1 October, hosted by Minister of Tourism Patricia de Lille. The invite-only event will bring together global investors, policymakers and industry stakeholders to advance a pipeline of 15 tourism infrastructure investment opportunities valued at an estimated R3.5 billion, spanning eco-tourism, hospitality, cultural heritage and green innovation.
Building on the inaugural 2025 summit - where eight bankable projects unlocked nearly R1 billion in potential investment - SATIS 2026 aims to further cement South Africa's position as a leading destination for tourism infrastructure investment. The summit will facilitate direct engagement between investors and project owners, with a focus on driving economic growth, job creation and foreign direct investment across the country's broader tourism value chain.
