Tourism Seychelles has completed a triumphant roadshow across five major Chinese cities, reinforcing its commitment to the Chinese market. The event, held from 22-31 July 2024, covered Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Shanghai.

Led by Jean-Luc Lai-Lam and Sam Yu from Tourism Seychelles, the roadshow engaged key industry stakeholders, including tour operators and media representatives. A networking event in Beijing, organised with Ambassador Anne Lafortune, provided insights into market trends and opportunities.

The roadshow showcased Seychelles' latest tourism offerings, with active participation from local trade partners. Notably, plans for direct flights from Chengdu to Seychelles were discussed, set to commence in late 2024, marking the first such connection since 2018.

Bernadette Willemin, Director General of Destination Marketing, highlighted the growing interest from China, evidenced by increased visitor numbers.
