South African Tourism has confirmed strong early interest in Africa’s Travel Indaba 2025, with more than 500 exhibitors from 19 African countries and over 650 buyer applications submitted ahead of the event. Set to take place from 13–15 May at Durban’s International Convention Centre, the annual trade show is positioned to highlight South Africa’s capacity to host high-profile events, aligning with the country’s G20 Presidency this year.

In addition to facilitating cross-border tourism partnerships, the event will feature a pre-conference “BONDay” on 12 May. Organisers, including an industry-led advisory committee, are focused on delivering a seamless and productive experience, with planning ramped up to meet increased demand. South African Tourism says the response confirms Indaba’s status as a leading platform for African tourism promotion and investment.
