The announcement, made during Meetings Africa at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, highlights uMhlathuze’s growing role as a hub for tourism and investment in KwaZulu-Natal. Mayor Xolani Ngwezi expressed optimism about the event’s potential to position the city as a competitive centre for export trade and investment, leveraging its strategic location as a gateway to Zululand and Maputaland.

With the theme “Tourism and Infrastructure Investment: Driving Economic Transformation and Enhancing Community Well-Being,” TIFA 2025 will connect investors, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to explore key tourism and infrastructure projects. The forum will feature site visits to highlight investment opportunities, while discussions will focus on unlocking capital for sustainable and inclusive growth.
