Proflight Zambia launches Lusaka-Livingstone-Maun route from May
Proflight Zambia will inaugurate a new seasonal route linking Lusaka and Livingstone with Maun International Airport on 2 May 2026, with the Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana (CAAB) hosting a formal welcome ceremony at the airport to mark the occasion. The service will operate three times weekly from May through October 2026, directly connecting two of southern Africa's most visited safari destinations and offering travellers a streamlined alternative to long road transfers or chartered flights between Victoria Falls and the Okavango Delta.
The route is a direct result of Botswana's Air Access programme, which is designed to attract new regional and international services to support tourism growth and job creation. Beyond leisure travel, the CAAB expects the new connection to strengthen business ties between Botswana and Zambia by improving air connectivity for professionals operating across both countries. Industry observers say the improved access is well timed, with both destinations heading into peak safari season and demand for efficient intra-regional travel continuing to grow.
