Veteran White Shark Projects Skipper Grant Marks 23 Years and 4,000+ Shark Trips
White Shark Projects is celebrating a milestone for its skipper and Health & Safety Officer, Grant, who has completed 23 years with the company and more than 4,000 shark trips.
Grant joined White Shark Projects in 2003 and has since become one of the company’s most experienced team members. Today, he leads the Shark Team at sea, assessing weather and ocean conditions ahead of trips and overseeing guest safety and operations on the water.
Before joining White Shark Projects, Grant spent 12 years working as a paramedic in Cape Town. His experience in remaining calm under pressure, assessing situations and making informed decisions has played an important role throughout his career at sea.
After more than two decades operating in Gansbaai, Grant has also developed extensive knowledge of the local marine environment, conditions and wildlife.
His 23-year milestone and more than 4,000 trips recognise a longstanding contribution to White Shark Projects and the experience he continues to bring to the company’s shark cage diving operations.
