Latitude to develop first Tanzania resort in Dar es Salaam’s Kigamboni
Latitude Hotel Group has partnered with Sanaabiz Investments Limited to develop and manage its first property in Tanzania, an 80-room resort in the Kigamboni district and peninsula of Dar es Salaam. Preliminary works are slated to begin in 2026, with the opening targeted for 2028.
The project will feature standard rooms and two-bedroom apartments, conference facilities, cafés and restaurants, a spa, retail space, a visitor and information centre, picnic areas and camp sites, plus an outdoor performance space for up to 5,000 people. Located near South Beach, mangrove forests and the Nyerere Bridge, the resort will follow Latitude’s operating model used in Kampala, Lusaka and Lilongwe – adding accommodation, MICE and events capacity in Dar es Salaam.
