The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) has been confirmed as the Lead Destination Partner for Africa Global PR Week (AGPRW) 2026, taking place in Nairobi from 26 to 28 August 2026. The partnership places Kenya at the centre of the continent's premier communications summit, with more than 1,000 delegates expected to attend in person and online. As part of the collaboration, KTB will co-host the Destination Pavilion, presenting immersive cultural showcases and tourism experiences under the "Magical Kenya" brand, alongside curated pre- and post-event packages featuring the Great Wildebeest Migration, Nairobi city tours and cultural circuits.

This year's summit theme, "Redefining Africa: Africa as a Brand," will explore how PR professionals, government officials and academics can shape the continent's global narrative through authentic storytelling. KTB CEO June Chepkemei highlighted the partnership's significance for MICE tourism, describing it as "an excellent platform to emphasise the growing importance of meetings and incentive travel in diversifying Kenya's destination offering and attracting a new segment of visitors." AGPRW Chair Mary Njoki added that the collaboration ensures the summit serves as "a celebration of Kenya's tourism excellence and Africa's collective narrative," with delegates drawn from more than 20 African countries.
