Kenya Airways and JetBlue Sign Codeshare Agreement to Strengthen Africa - North America Routes

Kenya Airways and JetBlue have signed a unilateral codeshare agreement aimed at improving connectivity between East Africa and North America, with Kenya Airways placing its flight code on JetBlue-operated services from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and ten additional US cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco and Atlanta. The agreement, launched in early March 2026, allows customers to travel on a single ticket with seamless connections through Nairobi and New York, offering smoother transfers for diaspora communities, leisure travellers, business passengers, the diplomatic corps and the travel trade.

Kenya Airways currently operates four weekly flights between Nairobi and New York, providing the primary gateway through which passengers can connect onto JetBlue's domestic US network. Acting Group Managing Director and CEO Captain George Kamal described the agreement as a significant step in the airline's global growth strategy, while JetBlue's Vice President of Network Planning and Airline Partnerships, Dave Jehn, noted that the deal reinforces JetBlue's approach to building partnerships that strengthen its international connectivity. The codeshare is expected to benefit travel agents, tour operators and online travel agencies seeking broader connectivity solutions across the East Africa - North America corridor.
