Ghana urges Emirates to promote destination on board to boost arrivals

Ghana’s Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has called on Emirates Airlines to showcase the country’s cultural and natural attractions on its flights – particularly during take‑off and landing – to stimulate international interest and arrivals. The appeal followed a courtesy visit by the carrier’s newly appointed country manager, Salem Almana, to explore stronger collaboration with the ministry.

Gomashie praised Emirates’ consistency, professionalism and global reach, calling the airline a strategic partner for Ghana’s tourism development. Almana affirmed readiness to work with government to enhance the travel experience and promote Ghana internationally, with both sides signalling closer cooperation on destination marketing, customer‑service standards and broader aviation initiatives aimed at sustained growth in visitor numbers.
