Objection Procedure

ATTA® is a non-profit, member-based organization. We are not a regulatory authority and do not conduct formal audits of membership applicants. Our vetting process relies on the integrity, experience, and insights of our existing members. As such, all applications must be proposed and seconded by current members in good standing.

To maintain transparency and fairness, we allow members to raise concerns during the 10-day review period. However, objections must meet the following criteria and follow the outlined procedure.

Grounds for Objection

Objections must be made in good faith, and competitive or personal disputes will not be considered valid grounds for objection.

How to Lodge an Objection

  1. Objections must be submitted in writing and directed to the Membership & Exhibitions Manager at [email protected] within 10 calendar days of the membership notice.
  2. The objection must clearly outline the specific grounds for concern and formally be submitted under the name of the objecting member company. Anonymous objections will not be considered.

Objection Review Process

  1. Notification of Objection
Once a valid objection is received, ATTA® will provide a copy of the objection in full to the applicant and their proposers. This will include:
    • The name of the objecting company.
    • The specific grounds cited for the objection.
    • Any supporting information or documentation submitted by the objecting company.

Please note: ATTA® will not withhold the identity of the objecting company or redact any part of the objection unless legally required to do so. We believe full disclosure is essential for fairness and transparency.

  1. Response Period
The applicant and their proposers will have 10 calendar days to respond to the objection or attempt to resolve the concern directly with the objecting member company. Any resolution must be mutually agreed and clearly communicated in writing to ATTA®.
  2. Unresolved Objections
If the objection is not resolved within the response period, all related correspondence—including the original objection, applicant company’s response, and any additional relevant communication—will be presented to the ATTA® Board of Directors for final deliberation.
  3. Final Decision
The Board will review all information submitted and render a final decision regarding the membership application. This decision is final and not subject to appeal.
