Visit Sierra Leone (VSL) was started in 2004 by Abimbola Carrol with two primary objectives, firstly to tackle the negative perception of Sierra Leone in the media and to promote Sierra Leone’s tourism industry. By 2005, VSL had started to provide tourism and travel services and in 2008 the founder, Abimbola Carrol relocated from London and registered the business in Sierra Leone. Visit Sierra Leone is now Sierra Leone’s leading destination management offering the complete suite of travel and tourism services including MICE. Our mission is to provide the safest, easiest and most professional means of visiting and staying in Sierra Leone, be it for business or pleasure. In doing so, we will provide unique, authentic and responsible experiences which have a positive impact on visitors, local communities, the environment and the economy.
