Overview

A collection of conservation Safaris set apart from regular beach and safari products.

Our camps in Botswana, Koro River Camp, Koro Island Camp and Harena Trails Camp and Harena River Camp are remotely located in the most stunning wild and undiscovered areas, with small scale but high-end Boutique Tented suites at Koro Camps and a mobile camp at Harena. All are completely sustainable designs and are in full partnerships with the local communities. Koro River Camp is, together with Koro Island Camp, the only camp in the Tuli which nestles comfortably into the shady, wild banks of the Limpopo River.

Harena River Camp. Harena, what means “our place” in the local dialect, comprises of an affordable tented camp on a unique location on the Limpopo River. Both catered with simple meals as well as for the self-catering guests it offers a unique opportunity to explore the Tuli in an affordable but yet very comfortable way. The tents comprise of a large ‘meru type’ tent overlooking the river, with a bathroom en-suite and are perched under the most magnificent ancient Nyla Berry trees, thus providing you with cooling shade.

All profits from our camps go back to our Timbo Afrika foundation. The foundation strives for local communities, creating game corridors, and the re-introduction of endangered species in the area such as the rhino. All our camps are operated and in full partnership with the communities. By booking a Conservation Safari you can participate in our wildlife research projects in order to feel the pulse of large scale wildlife conservation projects.

We offer Safari adventures and beautiful encounters. Our area is, besides common big game in Africa, well known for its leopards and illusive brown hyena and off course big herds of elephants, we call it the land of the giants.

All the profits generated through our commercial operations flow back to the Foundation and are re-invested in the execution of our projects in Botswana and Mozambique. Such as creating game corridors, reintroduction of endangered wildlife such as the Rhinosaurus, and creating jobs for local communities in our area. Everything is locally produced and we try to keep it that way.
