Overview

Safari Essence is a small DMC and we’ve been operating in Maun for 10 years now, though we have all been in the tourism industry for much longer, 20 - 25 years, mostly in Botswana. We really cater for a very wide range of clients, expectations and budgets: selling everything from adventure expeditions and trails / mobile safaris / boating safaris / walking & kayaking expeditions / cycling safaris / horseback safaris / budget, midrange & high-end lodge circuits. Botswana does not offer as much in terms of cultural and ethnographic safaris and experiences as other African countries, but we do arrange for some cultural excursions to Tsodilo Hills and exclusive Hunter – Gatherer Experiences living with the ancient realm of the San people . As a DMC we offer all basic DMC services including bookings, ground handling, M&G of your clients at Maun Airport, assisting with site inspections and regular social media posting.

Lehikeng Capacity Building and Development Trust
Lehikeng Capacity Building and Development Trust is an NGO that focuses on building the capacity of underprivileged children, youth and vulnerable women, in Maun, Ngamiland.

Our goal is to develop life skills and help the beneficiaries get ready for work. We are passionate about investing in the future of young people and vulnerable women and making a positive impact on their lives and the community through capacity building. We address the following challenges faced by these particular population groups within the community we serve:

- Skills deficiency among the youth and women.

- Unemployment among the youth and women.

Our community, especially the women and youth, is being ravaged by depression, hopelessness emanating from a number of factors. Key among them are unemployment, Gender Based Violence, Child neglect and abuse, Lack of education, Life and Employability Skills deficiencies which have resulted in reduced opportunities for employment in whatever few job opportunities are on the market.

MISSION

To offer life changing capacity building and development opportunities

OBJECTIVES:

 To offer capacity building and development opportunities in soft and hard kills training to vulnerable population groups; children, youth and women.

 To offer physical support (to vulnerable population groups; meals, clothing, etc).

 To offer Psycho-social Support Services to target beneficiaries

 To establish Rescue Centre for children and youth.

 To facilitate Life Skills Development, welfare and employment opportunities for the benefit of under- privileged persons, including but not limited to children, school dropout youths and women.

- Out of School and Unemployed Youth

- Children and Youth living/ dealing with Trauma

- Children and Youth Victims of all forms of abuse

- Needy Children and Youth

 Vulnerable women; unemployed, needy, victims of GBV and Trauma

Our intervention programmes are geared at empowering the youth and women by igniting hope and self -worth among the vulnerable youth and women through:

- Life Skills Training

- Counseling Services

- Mentoring Services

- Coaching Services

- Career Development Skills

- Meal provision

- Conservation skills
