Royal Mara Safari Lodge is a boutique luxury tented lodge in the vast 70,000-acre Mara North Conservancy. With breathtaking views of the hippo bend pool of the Mara River, all our riverfront tents offer you a luxurious safari experience. Each tent contains a king-size bed, desk, double vanity sink, ensuite bathroom, flush toilets, a bidet, hot shower and an electronic safe box.
Located in what is arguably the best wildlife-viewing location, Royal Mara offers unsurpassed game-viewing experiences in Mara North Conservancy. The up-close encounters will allow you and your family to witness the beauty of nature while in a custom-made 4x4 safari vehicle or on foot. During the off-road driving, you will come close to the big five, the abundant plains game, and other wildlife such as wild dogs and the bat-eared fox.
This spectacular Lodge is a few miles drive from the world-famous migration river crossing points of ‘Koiyaki Kichwa Tembo” and “Mara Serena’ as well as the leopard hangout at ‘Leopard Gorge’, highlighted on the BBC Big Cat Diary Program. We are located on the migration route where during the migration season of June to November, thousands of wildebeest converge on the camp periphery to graze.
From January to April, when the grasses in the Maasai Mara National Reserve are at their tallest, most herbivores and lions within the reserve migrate up to the Royal Mara area due to the shorter grasses, making game drives near us the preference for most camps.
