Overview

The Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA) is a Public Enterprise under the Ministry of Tourism and Environmental Affairs. The main objectives of the Authority are to: 1. Develop the tourism sector as a national priority in an environmentally sustainable and culturally acceptable manner. 2. Co-ordinate and facilitate the implementation of Government policies and strategies on tourism. 3. Market Eswatini as a tourism destination through the provision of a platform for industry stakeholders. 4. Encourage, facilitate and promote local and foreign investment in the tourism industry. 5. Ensure the contribution of tourism to the socio-economic development and continued improvement of quality of life in the Kingdom of Eswatini.

Squeezed between South Africa and Mozambique, Eswatini is a tiny country with a big heart and a warm welcome. It is easily combined with its neighbours, but its varied attractions warrant much more than an overnight stop. Rich culture, beautiful, varied scenery and great game viewing are all on offer in this compact, friendly and safe destination. As one of the few remaining monarchies in Africa it embraces and upholds its own unique and ancient traditions which are carefully guarded, faithfully celebrated and readily accessible to its visitors. Stunning and varied landscapes are to be seen and explored - mountains and valleys, forests and plains. And Eswatini’s wildlife reserves offer thrilling safaris to see the Big Five (including among the best rhino experiences in the world), a number of endangered species and truly outstanding birdlife. All of this in a country that can be driven across in a matter of a few hours!
