Guest Community Tours:  Visit a local school

Make your trip count by giving back with an inspiring, educational visit to a local school. Eco Children works with nine primary schools in disadvantaged communities surrounding the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve. Our aim is to solve the burdens of poverty afflicting rural communities through access to quality education. In doing so, we hope to empower these children, stimulating their desire to learn and interest in wildlife conservation. Our purpose-built Eco Villages work with Grade 6 and 7 learners. They combine sustainable vegetable gardens, to supplement the school kitchens, with lessons in ecology and conservation. Learn about this project with a tour by our Environmental Educators. Have a blast with some fun, interactive activities with Grade R! From beading and tracing to skipping and throwing, these games help to develop gross and fine motor skills in our youngest learners. You decide where your R800 contribution goes - choose from our worthy projects: Kit-a-kid; Bursaries; Eco Villages; Library Programme.

Volunteer with Eco Children (contribution t.b.d. based on activities): Building keyhole gardens; Playing sports with the children; Painting keyholes; Painting classrooms/libraries; Planting seedlings; Gardening activities; Organising books in library; Reading club; Grade R Programme; Arts & crafts club.
