We want to thank Richard Lyon for successfully leading the team for the past 5 years. Richard is retiring on 7 November 2020. During his tenure with us, Richard – or the Lyon King as most of the team calls him - elevated the One&Only experience and introduced new concepts to retain loyal Colleagues and Guests, which was recognized by receiving the Best Employer in South Africa award by Kincentric in 2019 and the only hotel in Cape Town to receive the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Rating in 2019. Richard is a true hospitality veteran with over 45 years in the industry and has served as a General Manager for over two decades. One&Only will continue to work closely with Richard and consult him on future assignments.
