Heading Wetu operations in Latin America for over a year now, are Argentines Francisco Escuder & Malu Esteves. Based in Buenos Aires, they’ve been planting Wetu roots in the Latin American tourism trade, developing partnerships and growing their client base. They’ve identified the need among the trade for better processes and more effective collaboration among the hospitality and tour operating sectors, driven by easier access to great content.

Wetu will be exhibiting at Africa’s Travel Indaba from 2 to 4 May 2019. This year marks our 10th birthday and we’ll be celebrating in style in collaboration with our partners, Akilanga.  There have been some exciting developments for both our operator and supplier clients. Progress with Machine Translations for itineraries is on-going, with the functionality now available in German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Italian and Swedish.

Wetu will be attending both the Zanzibar Tourism Show from 26 to 28 September and the Magical Kenya Travel Expo from 2 to 4 October (Stand U8). Team Wetu will be there to share information with tour operators, DMCs and travel agents about how to use the Consultant Portal, Machine Translations and the Itinerary Builder, amongst other tools, to boost productivity and help grow their businesses.

We're getting our year of trade show hook-ups started at ITB Berlin this month. In our first foray onto the 2018 tourism trade show scene, Wetu is focused on reinforcing our brand presence as the travel tech provider that services the world. A great deal of work has gone into development and fleshing out the teams we have dedicated to training and support - vital ingredients to building the sound support structure that helps our clients thrive in the digital economy that selling travel has become.
