We hope that all of you are enjoying the changing of the season, and the renewed enthusiasm for travel which is slowly starting to show again. We are encouraged by the early signs of this, with increasing arrivals in Namibia coming into our care.

WISHING ALL OUR VALUED PARTNERS A MERRY CHRISTMAS –  'TIS THE SEASON FOR GIVING! As we reflect on a momentous 2020, we feel it is important to take stock of how we have still been able to enrich lives over the past 12 months.

Since the re-opening of Namibia with more RELAXED REQUIREMENTS, we’ve seen the start of what appears to be a trickle of travellers returning! In recognition of this, we are ensuring that we continue to be as flexible and proactive when it comes to attracting travellers back to Namibia.

NAMIBIA IS OPEN TO ALL!  Ultimate Safaris is a great believer in making the safari arrangements for all their guests as efficient and hassle-free as possible, so we have applied the same logic to this requirement which might otherwise become a serious annoyance and detrimental to guests’ enjoyment of their time in Namibia. This requirement will not be in place indefinitely, but while it is, we want the process needed to comply with it to be as easy and user-friendly as possible.

As negotiations continue in Namibia for a controlled low risk opening of borders, probably with a test-phase being planned imminently, we are preparing to communicate all the hard work that has been done over the last three or so months to ensure that when Namibia does re-open, Ultimate Safaris is prepared.

2020 will be a year we all remember. However, we believe that challenges like these have effects on mind set and pre-conceptions that will redefine our industry.  At Ultimate Safaris we have therefore used this time for introspection and focus on what we think will be required when international travel resumes, in the knowledge that this will not be what it was before for most of the world.

The Namibian government has recently announced their intention to trial the re-opening of our borders for international tourism between 15 July and 15 August, albeit on a limited basis. We are therefore looking at the Terms and Conditions for bookings that will be needed in order to give confidence in a post-COVID-19 booking cycle.
