We are thrilled to share our new images of the beautiful new Ol Seki. As you will recall, we decided to completely renovate (almost rebuild) the bedroom tents and guest areas to elevate the guest experience and enhance the luxurious feel of the camp.

We are delighted to share Ol Seki’s exciting and refreshing new look which elevates the experience of staying at the camp substantially and, we believe, provides a new level luxury for camps in the Mara conservancies.

Hemingways Collection, a luxury boutique hotel chain in Kenya, announced the re-opening of its Hemingways Nairobi and Hemingways Watamu properties from the 24th of June 2020. Hemingways Collection’s Group CEO, Alastair Addison, said the re-opening of both properties came after careful consideration of what it would entail to fully operate both properties while ensuring staff and guests’ health and safety needs are well catered for.

As the season begins to come to an end and the rains start arriving in the Masai Mara, it’s time for us at Ol Seki Hemingways Mara to take a little break and start our annual maintenance projects. You’ll recall last year we invested significantly in the back of house operations of the camp including installing a new solar power farm to completely remove the camp from grid and electricity power. This has been a huge success and has been extremely well received by our guests. We also built a new kitchen and we are delighted to see the improvement in our cuisine which has resulted from the improved kitchen facility. This year we’re looking at the front of house and the guest experience and to that end, we’re extremely excited to publicise, for the first time, some detailed information about our new pool which we have been promising.
