Hemingways Delays Kigali Refurb to 2027 and Confirms Year-Round Mara Opening
Hemingways Collection has confirmed that planned refurbishment works at Hemingways Retreat Kigali will now take place in 2027, with the property closing from 22 March to 30 April and reopening 1 May 2027. The delay was driven by strong demand, and the extended closure window will allow upgrades to cover both guest rooms and public areas in a single phase rather than in stages. Meanwhile, Hemingways Ol Seki Mara will operate year-round in 2027 for the first time, removing its traditional seasonal closure and giving travel advisors a Maasai Mara option available across all twelve months.
Further updates across the collection include a new heated relaxation pool with a jacuzzi section and outdoor bar at Hemingways Eden Residence in Nairobi, positioned as a retreat space following city excursions or spa visits. Hemingways River Camp Mara - recently refurbished and located on the Njageteck River within the private Mara North Conservancy - is currently offering a stay 3, pay 2 promotion valid for stays until 17 December 2026.
