ZTA appoints Dr George Manyaya as CEO
The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority Board has appointed Dr George Munyaradzi Manyaya as Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 February 2026, to strengthen destination leadership and global positioning. He brings cross‑sector experience spanning aviation, transport, telecommunications, energy, mining, banking and the UN system (IOM), and holds a Doctorate in Business Management alongside postgraduate qualifications in international relations and strategic management.
Manyaya previously led marketing, communications and stakeholder relations at ZESA Holdings and chairs the Zimbabwe National Road Administration, where he oversaw rebranding and governance reforms. His ZTA mandate covers destination marketing, industry standards, tourism intelligence, stakeholder coordination and investment facilitation – aligning with Zimbabwe’s drive to diversify source markets, improve product quality and grow tourism’s contribution to jobs and foreign exchange.
