The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) is set to hold its first-ever Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Harare on 17 June, marking a key milestone in its governance and accountability reforms. The meeting will review organisational performance for the 2023 and 2024 financial years, with a strong focus on compliance, audit findings, and governance strengthening following years of operational and administrative challenges.

The AGM is also expected to outline the sector’s recovery trajectory, including rising tourist arrivals, improving receipts, and renewed investor interest in Zimbabwe’s tourism industry. Officials say the reforms, alongside intensified destination marketing under the “Experience Zimbabwe” brand, are helping position tourism as a key contributor to economic growth, foreign currency earnings, and job creation.
