Zimbabwe sets 28 February deadline for tourism registration

A nationwide compliance operation with law enforcement will start on 1 March 2026 across all ten provinces, with unregistered establishments subject to immediate closure.

The authority says recent reforms have simplified procedures and reduced licence and registration fees to lower barriers for small and medium operators, leaving no grounds for non-compliance. The drive aims to standardise quality and safety across the sector and may affect bookings where properties fall short, as inspections verify registration and adherence to regulatory standards.
