Zimbabwe appoints new boards for ZTA and Mosi‑oa‑Tunya firm
Zimbabwe’s Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister Barbara Rwodzi has appointed new boards for the Mosi‑oa‑Tunya Development Company (Pvt) Ltd and the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, effective 31 December 2025. Farai Chimba will chair the ZTA with Lizzie Makwezva as deputy, while Phineas Makombe will lead Mosi‑oa‑Tunya Development Company, deputised by Sheila Hawa Sidambe.
Mosi‑oa‑Tunya Development Company oversees tourism infrastructure and investment facilitation in Victoria Falls, with the refreshed board expected to support accommodation expansion and attract capital. ZTA’s new board will focus on strengthening destination competitiveness, improving regulatory efficiency and enhancing promotion – priorities aimed at driving tourism‑led growth.
