WTM Africa to Host First China Ready® Workshop in 2026
WTM Africa will launch its inaugural China Ready® Workshop on 15 April 2026 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, aiming to prepare African tourism professionals for the rapidly growing Chinese outbound travel market. Delivered in partnership with the China Business Intelligence Service Network, the in-person session will focus on cultural expectations, digital payment preferences, marketing tools, and tourism trends relevant to Chinese visitors.
With China’s outbound travel forecast to reach 200 million annual travellers by 2028, the workshop’s timing reflects rising interest in tapping into this key source market. Participants will earn Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points and receive a complimentary report on the China outbound market to Africa.
