Voyager of the Seas to make first South African calls in November
Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas is set to enter South African waters for the first time this month as part of a Cape Town – Singapore journey. The ship will call at Walvis Bay on 10 November before docking in Cape Town on 14 November and Port Elizabeth on 16 November, then continue to Mauritius on 21 November.
Cruises International, Royal Caribbean’s representative in South Africa, will host ship visits and tours at each African port. The Cape Town programme will bring together media, tourism leaders and government stakeholders, while the Port Elizabeth event with the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber will showcase Royal Caribbean’s MICE offering. The company said the voyage has sold out, signalling growing confidence in Africa’s cruise market and fresh opportunities for leisure, business and incentive travel.
