TUI Cruises to Homeport Mein Schiff 5 in Cape Town for 2027/28 Season
TUI Cruises has confirmed that Mein Schiff 5 will be homeported in Cape Town for the 2027/28 cruise season, operating a programme of 14-night roundtrip and one-way itineraries between South Africa and Mauritius. The deployment begins in November 2027 with a transocean crossing from Palma de Mallorca to Cape Town, after which the vessel will run a structured rotation through to March 2028, calling at Port Elizabeth, Durban, Richard's Bay, Saint-Denis in Réunion, and Port Louis in Mauritius. The season concludes with a 19- to 20-night transocean return sailing to Palma de Mallorca.
The homeporting of Mein Schiff 5 in Cape Town reflects the port's growing role as a seasonal base for international cruise lines during the European off-season, and underscores South Africa's integration within broader Indian Ocean cruise networks.
