Travalyst appoints Julie Cheetham as CEO

Travalyst, the independently governed not‑for‑profit coalition founded by Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, has appointed South Africa‑based Julie Cheetham as Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 December 2025. Cheetham takes the helm as the organisation prepares for impact‑led change in 2026 – scaling its Data Hub, deepening global alignment on consistent sustainability information, and strengthening its role in shaping policy and regulatory coherence across travel and tourism.

A recognised sustainability leader with more than 20 years’ experience, Cheetham was a founding executive and later CEO of Weeva, the sustainability‑management platform used in 86 countries before its 2024 acquisition by Travalyst, where the technology has evolved into the Data Hub. She joined Travalyst as COO in September 2024 and succeeds Sally Davey, under whose tenure the Travel Impact Model for flight emissions scaled across more than 130 billion searches and the coalition expanded to 13 partners. Travalyst leaders said her appointment supports the organisation’s 2030 ambition to align the industry around trusted sustainability information at scale.
