Tourvest expands East Africa footprint with Wild Frontiers Uganda acquisition
Tourvest Accommodation has acquired the Wild Frontiers Uganda properties and activities business as part of a broader East African expansion strategy tied to the launch of its new safari brand, Tulia. The move adds three Uganda properties — now rebranded as Tulia Buhoma, Tulia Ishasha and Tulia Murchison Falls — to the group’s growing regional portfolio, alongside Tulia Amboseli in Kenya.
The acquisition reflects increasing demand for safari experiences positioned between budget and luxury travel, with Tulia targeting travellers seeking high-quality, experience-led safaris at a more accessible price point. Tourvest said the strategy will focus on enhancing existing properties rather than developing new camps, supporting responsible tourism growth while expanding access to key wildlife destinations across East Africa.
