The Attorney General’s Office commences its work at the Grand Hotel Djibloho
On Wednesday, March 18, the VI Fiscal Council commenced its work at the Grand Hotel Djibloho with the inaugural session, focused on strengthening the Public Ministry and reviewing the agreements reached during the previous Council.
The VI Fiscal Council, held under the theme ‘The Consolidation of the Role of the Public Prosecutor’s Office Towards the 2030 Horizon,’ brings together officials and members of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in its sixth edition to assess progress, review previous agreements, and set new lines of action
The opening ceremony began with welcoming remarks from the representative of the Mayor of Djibloho, José Luis Nguema, followed by the Attorney General of the Republic, Anatolio Nzang Nguema, who officially declared the VI Fiscal Council open.
During his speech, the Attorney General explained the purpose and role of this coordinating body, emphasizing its importance in strengthening the Public Prosecutor's Office. He also reviewed the consolidation of these meetings since their inception, highlighting the progress achieved by his team leading up to this sixth edition, conceived as a forum for reflection, evaluation, and strategic planning of prosecutorial activities.
The session continued with the screening of an audiovisual presentation summarizing the main activities carried out by the Public Prosecutor's Office in 2025. Afterwards, participants moved on to reviewing the agenda items, including the evaluation of the minutes from the previous Fiscal Council and the follow-up on the agreements reached, presented by the Secretary General of the Public Prosecutor's Office, José Manuel Oyono Nguema.
Furthermore, during the session, the implementing regulations of the Organic Statute of the Public Prosecutor's Office were examined, presented by the Attorney General of the Republic. The work of the VI Fiscal Council will continue with the discussion of other agenda items, including the ethical and professional code of conduct for members of the Public Prosecutor's Office, which will be presented by the Chief Inspector and the Prosecutor of the Court of Auditors.
The Grand Hotel Djibloho hosted the opening day, providing a conducive environment for the Council's activities, which will continue with the review of the remaining agenda items of the VI Fiscal Council.
