South African Tourism concludes Kolkata Corporate Think Tank in India
South African Tourism has concluded the Kolkata stop of its 5th edition Corporate Think Tank – the fourth and final city in the current series – bringing together more than 25 corporate leaders to deepen ties with India’s business community. The initiative aims to position South Africa as a leading destination for business events, MICE and leisure travel, with Kolkata identified as a strategic source market.
Gcobani Mancotywa, Regional General Manager for Asia, Australasia and the Middle East, said the discussions in Kolkata reaffirmed the city’s growing relevance for South Africa’s MICE segment. India remains one of South African Tourism’s fastest‑growing markets, underpinned by rising corporate demand for incentives and conferences, strong outbound travel growth – second only to China – and interest in value‑driven experiences such as wildlife, adventure and scenic touring that can be packaged within a week.
